Nearly fifty residents, patients, family members and staff members enjoyed a happy Thanksgiving at Maristhill. Staff members volunteered as servers, and together with the food and beverage team created a delicious holiday dinner and dessert menu, complemented by wine, cider, coffee and assorted soft drinks.
To the delight of all attendees, mellow background music was provided by jazz guitarist Paul Seidel, which enhanced an already festive mood.
“This year’s dinner was extremely social,” said Activities Director Bill Driscoll. “Our entire Activities department was in attendance, which I think made the event even more fun for residents’ family members, most of whom have formed relationships with our Activities team.
“In fact, one of our rehabilitation patients, who will be going home soon, asked if she could still attend the Christmas party, even though she’ll no longer be in our care!”
