All of us here at Maristhill are especially proud of the engaged community of residents, their families, our staff, and many other stakeholders.
While the mix of activities is considerable, and while it seems there is always something happening at Maristhill, a favorite for a number of years has been the “Honky-tonk Piano Man” Gary Landgren, who will be joining us once again this month.
Gary is a most-popular piano entertainer from Worcester, MA, who performs regularly at Maristhill as well as numerous locations in Massachusetts, parts of Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. He appears at retirement communities, health care and rehab facilities, church events, private parties, and more.
“The Honky Tonk Piano Man” is a nickname that has followed me around for over twenty years to all the places I’ve entertained,” Landgren explains. “It’s a style that includes ragtime, swing and early jazz elements all rolled into a very informal, yet lively presentation.”
As Landgren entertains, his performances include a touch of humor, some history, jokes with the audience, and, of course, some exceptional music that includes a long list of crowd favorites. For the most part, audiences tap their toes, clap and sing-along; and a fine time is had by all.
